Key to Sources with Publishing Information
The following is a guide to abbreviations used by Monticello researchers when they prepare reports such as those appearing as "Brief Reports" or in "The Plantation" section of this Web site. Abbreviations are used for frequently mentioned titles, institutions, members of Jefferson's family, and manuscript notations.
